Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Briem is a Icelandic actress. Her best-known work is portraying Jane Seymour, the young woman who is to become the 3rd Queen of Henry VIII on the television drama The Tudors. Briem started her career as a performer at National Theater Iceland at 9 years old. The actress was a young actor in Iceland, participating in radio and television plays. Briem relocated from Iceland to London aged 16 and was a part of the stage production Lenin's Love. Briem who was then 19 was accepted to at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. There she studied during three academic years. Briem earned her degree in Drama. She also received the John Barton Prize under the Scenic Fight category. While studying at RADA the actor performed in many plays like The Cherry Garden of Anton Chekhov as well as the Bernarda Alba's Home by Federico Garcia Lorca.
